Overview
The W.M. Keck Foundation's Southern California Program supports organizations based in the region that provide community resources in the following categories:
Arts and culture |
Civic and community services |
Early learning |
Health care |
Pre-collegiate education |
In each category, we are interested in projects that promote the education and healthy development of children and youth. We also consider projects that address the special needs of people who are physically, mentally or emotionally challenged.
As in all our grantmaking, we seek to invest in projects that respond to compelling needs with creative and sustainable solutions that promise to better people's lives now and in the future. We encourage collaborative efforts with broad community support, as well as projects developed by the leaders of a single organization. Colleges and universities, and other nonprofit organizations in Southern California pursuing relevant projects, are eligible to apply. Grants range from $100,000 to $1 million.
